What to Expect:

A Mushroom Meet & Greet (this week, Sponsored by Tea of life Kombucha!):

We'll kick off the morning with an engaging discussion about the fascinating world of mushrooms. You'll have the chance to learn about their ecological importance, diverse varieties, and incredible health-boosting properties. To get your senses tingling, everyone will have the opportunity to sample delicious and invigorating medicinal mushroom kombucha, courtesy of our friends at Culture Lab Kombucha. It's the perfect way to fuel your fungal exploration!

Into the Wild: Guided mushroom identification in the Forest (2-3 hours): With kombucha in hand and curiosity ignited, we'll venture into the lush trails of one of our local Forests. Our expert guides, Alec, Cullen, and Chantal, will lead the way, sharing their invaluable knowledge on how to spot and safely identify a variety of wild mushrooms. You'll learn about key identification features, preferred habitats, and the crucial principles of responsible foraging. This hands-on experience will empower you to connect with nature on a whole new level.

From Forest to Fridge: The Mushroom Box

Cultivation Class: After our invigorating exploration, we'll make our way back to the car park. Here, Alec, the founder of The Mushroom Box, will share his expertise in cultivating your very own gourmet mushrooms at home with the Mushroom Box

and the best part? Every participant will receive their own mushroom tincture from Aether Apothecary to take home!

 This workshop, Cullen will be sponsoring each participant with a Lions-mane, Cordyceps, Reishi or turkey tail mushroom tincture produced here in SA!
