Crispy Pan-Fried Oyster Mushrooms

Once you've grow your mushrooms from your mushroom box, you'll need an epic recipe to enjoy them to the max!

This special recipe delivers golden, crispy oyster mushrooms that are perfect as a snack, side dish, or even a vegetarian main course. 


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 kg oyster mushrooms, cleaned and roughly torn
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (optional): thyme, rosemary, parsley (a sprig each)


  1. Heat olive oil in a large black pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Once hot, add the oyster mushrooms in a single layer (you may need to cook them in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan). Don't stir constantly - let the mushrooms sear undisturbed for a few minutes to achieve crispness.
  3. After 2-3 minutes, once the bottoms are golden brown, gently toss the mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden brown and crispy all over.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh herbs (optional). Serve immediately.

  • For extra crispy mushrooms, pat them dry with a paper towel before cooking.
  • To add a bit of spice, sprinkle with red chili flakes during cooking.
  • You can use a mixture of your favorite herbs for the garnish.
