Home Grow Your Own Mushrooms With This Mini Mushroom Farm
Imagine this: It’s a bright Spring morning in Cape Town. You walk into your kitchen to make breakfast, but instead of reaching into the fridge for store-bought produce, you harvest a beautiful cluster of fresh, gourmet mushrooms right from your countertop. You didn't just buy these mushrooms, you grew them.
Introducing the mushroom box:

This isn't a far-off dream—it's the reality of having your own Mini Mushroom Farm, and it's about to change the way you think about fresh food.
The Challenge: The Hunt for the "Perfect Spot"

We've heard from so many of you who love the magic of our Mushroom Boxes but sometimes struggle with one key thing: a suitable environment.
South Africa's climate can be unpredictable and often dry. Finding that perfect, humid-but-ventilated spot can feel like a treasure hunt. Sometimes a kit thrives, and sometimes it stalls, leaving you wondering what went wrong.
We believe that anyone, anywhere, should be able to experience the joy of a successful harvest. So, we decided to take the guesswork out of growing.
The Solution: Introducing The Mini Mushroom Farm
We are so excited to introduce the Mini Mushroom Farm—a complete, all-in-one system designed to give you the perfect mushroom-growing environment, right in your kitchen, all year round.
This isn't just a product; it's your personal, countertop garden. It’s the secret to bigger, better, and more consistent harvests, no matter what the weather is doing outside.
What is the Mini Mushroom Farm?
We've bundled everything you need to become a home-growing pro. The kit includes:

A Seasonal 6-Pack of Mushroom Boxes: A curated selection of our best and most exciting mushroom varieties to keep your harvests interesting.
-
The Humidity Grow Tent: A spacious (50cm x 78cm x 50cm) tent that creates a perfect microclimate for your mushrooms to flourish.
-
An Easy-to-Use Humidifier: This small but powerful device maintains the ideal moisture levels in the air, encouraging your mushrooms to grow big and healthy.
Getting Started is Incredibly Simple
We’ve designed our grow boxes to make mushroom cultivation effortless for both beginners and experts. Just follow these simple steps to enjoy fresh, nutrient-packed mushrooms right at home:
Step 1: Set Up Your Grow Tent
Place your grow tent in a suitable spot and fill your humidifier with water. Position the humidifier inside the tent along with your mushroom boxes.
Step 2: Keep the Tent Open for Oxygen
Most of the time, keep the tent open to allow fresh oxygen to reach the mycelium—this is essential for healthy mushroom growth.
Step 3: Four Simple Steps to Grow Your Mushrooms
-
Cut the Slit – Make a small slit in the grow box to let your mushrooms mycelium breathe freely.
-
Wait and Watch – Be patient and watch as your mushrooms begin to sprout and grow.
-
Care for Your Mushrooms – Keep them hydrated and in the right environment by running the humidifier throughout the day. If your mushrooms start to look dry, zip up the tent for 20-30 minutes to trap humidity—this helps mushrooms absorb water and encourages growth. You can also use a spray bottle to mist your mushroom lightly throughout the day.
-
Harvest – Pick your fresh, flavorful, and nutrient-rich Lion’s Mane mushrooms when ready.

Step 4: Enjoy Multiple Harvests
After your first harvest (flush), if conditions are right, your grow box will regenerate and produce another burst of fresh mushrooms after just a few weeks!—extending your harvest and enjoyment.
Pro Tip: Consistent humidity and fresh oxygen are key to maximizing your mushroom yield. Check out our detailed guides and join our Facebook community for tips, troubleshooting, and inspiration.
Imagine harvesting meaty Lion's Mane for a gourmet "steak" sandwich on a Tuesday, or vibrant Pink Oysters for your weekend omelette. With six grow boxes and the perfect environment, you can stagger your grows for a continuous supply of the freshest mushrooms you've ever tasted.
It’s more than a product—it’s a connection to your food, a fun project for the whole family, and a beautiful, living piece of functional art for your kitchen.
