Mushroom Humidity Tent

The secret to supermarket-quality mushrooms isn't just the spores, it’s the atmosphere. This humidity tent is designed to bridge the gap between a mushroom grow box and a professional fruiting chamber. It provides a sterile, high-humidity sanctuary that prevents your mycelium from drying out.

With a crystal-clear heavy-duty cover and reinforced zippers, you can monitor the exact moment your mushrooms are ready to fruit without disturbing the micro-climate. Once they emerge, the tent's integrated structure allows for easy misting and the high-volume airflow required for thick, meaty mushroom caps.

3. Clear User Instructions

Phase 1: The Setup (Incubation)

  1. Placement: Set your mushroom grow boxes inside the tent on a flat surface.

  2. Environment: Ensure the room temperature is stable between 18°C and 24°C (depending on your specific mushroom species).

  3. Seal: Zip the tent up completely. At this stage, the boxes keep their own moisture in, and the tent acts as a secondary barrier against dust and contaminants.

Phase 2: The "Poke-Through" (Fruiting)

  1. Monitor: Check your boxes daily. As soon as you see small mushroom "pins" poking through the box openings, they need more resources.

  2. Activate Climate: Open the tent and begin your fruiting routine:

    • Manual Method: Spray the interior walls of the tent with a fine mist of water 2–3 times daily.

    • Automated Method: Turn on your humidifier or fogger to maintain 80%–90% relative humidity.

  3. Fresh Air: Now that the tent is being opened/misted, ensure you "fan" the tent with the door flap to exchange the air. Mushrooms need oxygen to grow large caps!

Phase 3: The Harvest

  1. Keep the environment humid and cool (under 24°C).

  2. Once the caps begin to flatten out, they are ready to pick.

  3. Between harvests, wipe down the tent floor to remove any excess moisture.

4. Suggested Features for the "Optimal" Tent

To make this the best product on the market, consider these specs:

  • Waterproof Base Tray: Essential for when users start "spraying moisture" so they don't ruin their floors.

  • Top-Down Ventilation: Allows CO2 to be pushed out when the user opens the zipper.

  • Hose Port: A 10cm drawstring port so users can easily add a humidifier later without leaving the main door open.

FAQ's

How long can i store them?

We recommend storing your boxes in a cool, dark spot for no longer than 3 months before using them. They can withstand storage for up to 6 months in the fridge but fresh is always best.

Do I need any special equipment?
No. Just water in a spray bottle and a spot with indirect light. Optional: our mushroom grow tent speeds up growth.

Why do I need to join the Facebook group?
Growing mushrooms is simple, but small mistakes happen. Our group gives you real-time expert support to ensure success. It's like having a mushroom hotline—and it's required for our guarantee.

Will I definitely get 2-3 harvests per box?
The first flush is guaranteed (with group support). Additional flushes depend on two critical factors: (1) harvesting before spores drop, and (2) maintaining ideal humidity, temperature, and air flow. Many growers get 2-3 flushes, but we only guarantee the first.

How do I know when to harvest to get more flushes?
Harvest when caps flatten but BEFORE the edges curl up and release spores. Post a photo in the group—we'll tell you exactly when!

How long do fresh mushrooms last?
5-7 days in the fridge in a breathable container (paper bag). We recommend cooking within 2-3 days for peak flavour.

Can kids do this?
Absolutely! It's a popular school science project. Adult supervision recommended for the cutting step.

What do I do with the substrate after?
Add it to your garden—it's excellent compost! Wild mushrooms may even grow in your yard later.
